This Men’s Health Week, take a few minutes to prioritise your health by booking a check-up with your GP.

Many health conditions, including heart disease, can develop without obvious symptoms. Regular health checks can help identify risks early and support better long-term health outcomes.

For men aged 45 and over, a Heart Health Check is available through your GP and may be bulk billed.

Looking after your health starts with prevention. If it’s been a while since your last check-up, Men’s Health Week is a great reminder to make an appointment!

Our Thoughts Are with the Breen Family

It is with much sadness that Goldacres acknowledges the recent passing of Shaun Breen’s son, Cody.

As many of you will know Shaun has had a long association with Goldacres for more than 20 years and is a great friend to many.

We are all thinking of the Breen family at this incredibly sad time.

Goldacres engineers visit Simon Barbary’s farm at Woomelang

Simon is running his tractor  – made semi-autonomous by autonomy specialists Ornata Ag – with a brand-new Prairie Pro 1036.

Roger and Dave interviewed Simon to talk through how it is changing the way he farms, with some of the Goldacres engineering team and local dealer Growers Services Swan Hill along for the visit.

Supporting our Dealer Network!

This week Parts Training has been delivered at the Patanga site

Thankyou to Chris Walsh, Michael Ryan and Chris Lovell from the Sales Team for sharing their knowledge with the team today.

Strong parts support starts with deep product knowledge, and sessions like this are how we make sure our dealer network can keep growers moving when it matters most.

Goldacres will be moving to a new HR and Payroll system  – Employment Hero

This upgrade has been carefully planned to improve the way we manage HR and Payroll for everyone. The new system is more modern, more reliable, and will make everyday tasks like accessing your payslips, submitting leave, updating your personal details and checking leave balances — simpler and faster.

Effective 1^st of July 2026

Right now, you don’t need to do anything.

Please ensure you are following all relevant Procedures and Job Instructions, these are not just in place to show how to complete a task correctly, but also how to undertake and complete the respective task safely.

Employee Influenza Vaccinations

Flu Vaccinations are today in the Board Room.

Please bring your consent form and attend at your allocated time.

You will be required to stay for observation for 15 minutes after the injection.

The cooler weather is here!

A reminder to keep warm now that the cooler Ballarat weather has arrived.

As temperatures drop, it’s important to take a few simple steps to stay warm, comfortable, and safe throughout the workday.

Keep warm tips:

• Start your day with a few warm-up stretches to help prepare your body and minimise the risk of strain or injury
• Check that your current workwear is still suitable for the colder conditions and order warmer gear if needed
• Make use of the company-subsidised heated vests available to help keep your core warm
• Enjoy a hot drink during your break to help warm up
• Where possible, layer your clothing to stay comfortable as temperatures change throughout the day
• Take regular short movement breaks to keep circulation flowing, especially during early morning starts

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Stone to the role of Senior Purchasing Officer.

Justin brings with him a wealth of experience across inventory management, purchasing, and product management within both OEM and distributor environments. His primary focus will be managing complex and long lead-time products, delivering deeper inventory analysis and insights, and supporting key strategic purchasing objectives.

This anonymous WorkSafe survey is designed to assess the psychological health and safety of our workplace.

International Women’s Day Morning Tea

Yesterday we came together to recognise International Women’s Day with a site morning tea.

Roger shared a few words (and a fact!) with staff, acknowledging the contribution of the women who are part of the Goldacres team; including in Production, Warehouse, Finance, Marketing and HR.

Every day we see our values in action – teamwork, safety, quality and success – through the professionalism, collaboration and commitment that our female team members bring to their roles.

Goldacres named Machine of the Year at 2026 Wimmera Machinery Field Days

We’re excited to share that Goldacres has taken out the Machine of the Year award at the 2026 Wimmera Machinery Field Days with the G8 Crop Cruiser Series 3!

A big thank you to the team at Growers Services and Emmetts for their efforts in representing Goldacres at the event. A fantastic result for everyone involved.

Pre-Start Checks 

Pre-Start Checks are routine safety inspections conducted by the equipment operator to identify safety deficiencies, maintenance problems or damage before the equipment is used – and are vital to reducing the risk of accidents, failures and injuries.

These checks, are to be completed by the First Operator of the plant item each day.

Always check the sign-off to ensure the daily check has been completed prior to any use.

Demos & the new On-Farm Trailer!

Last week at AgApply in Griffith NSW, the Goldacres team delivered a strong on-ground presence with live demos of the new G8 Series 3 and Prairie Pro featuring Weedetect® NIR, paired with the AgXeed robot.

It was great to see the technology working together in-field and generating genuine interest around precision and autonomous spraying solutions.

The event also marked our first official outing with the new on-farm trailer on display – a proud milestone and a fantastic representation of the brand.

Well done to everyone involved in the planning, setup and demonstrations. A strong team effort. 👏

Supporting our Dealers!

This week, service technicians from the Goldacres dealer network have been at Patanga Court Training Centre undertaking hands-on training led by Product Specialist Chris Walsh, sharpening their skills and staying up to date with the latest systems and technology.

At Goldacres, we back our dealers with the training and support they need – so growers are supported by equipped, knowledgeable technicians right across Australia.

A clean workspace is a safe workspace!

Keep Walkways Clear – always remove obstacles and store tools properly to avoid tripping hazards.

Clean Spills Immediately – use appropriate materials to clean up spills and place wet floor signs.

Dispose of Waste Properly – use designated bins and never overfill them.

Inspect and Organise – regularly check storage areas to ensure items are secure and orderly.

Notify your supervisor of any unsafe conditions or damaged equipment.

Huge congratulations to the Purchasing Team for going under their backorder KPI for the first time since we started tracking  – an awesome achievement!

This success comes from sticking to sustainable processes with consistent diligence.

Even more impressive is how the team has handled factors outside their control – supplier delays, changes, and curveballs – without letting them derail the result.

Lower backorders make a real difference across the business, and this milestone is a real credit to the effort and teamwork behind the scenes.

Summer Safety

With summer now in full effect, please take care working in the heat.

• Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty (electrolyte cordial is also available).
• If working outdoors, ensure you wear a hat and sunscreen (speak to your supervisor/leading hand if you don’t have a hat).
• If work area temperature (as per approved area thermometer) reaches 36 degrees, a 10-minute break is allowed per 50-minutes of continuous work.
• If you happen to feel unwell due to the heat, please see your area First-Aider for assistance.

Meet our newest Team Member!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Flecknoe to the role of Financial Controller.

Andrew brings a strong accounting and agricultural background and will play a key role in supporting the business as we continue to grow and strengthen our operations.

Over the coming weeks, Andrew will be working closely with teams across the business to get up to speed and build relationships.
